Dr. Steve Manteaw, Co-chair of the Ghana Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (GHEITI), warned that Ghana's oil production may cease in the next 20 years if the government fails to attract new investors.

He expressed concern over the declining oil output in recent years, highlighting that the Jubilee field, which has been producing for 14 years, has a limited lifespan.

Manteaw criticized the government for poor seismic data and a lack of investor-friendly policies.

The 2021/2022 GHEITI report showed a decline in production at the Jubilee and TEN fields, urging investment in data collection to address these challenges.
