Minerals Commission to open new office at Bibiani to boost mining regulation

The Minerals Commission is opening a new office in Bibiani, Western North Region, on September 18, 2024, to decentralize its operations and improve service delivery.

This office will regulate key mining operations in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, including Ghana Bauxite and Asante Gold mines.

CEO Martin Kwaku Ayisi expressed confidence that the new office will streamline the processing of mining licenses and documentation, reducing the need for companies to travel to Accra.

He emphasized the government's commitment to enhancing the mining sector through investments in technology and resources.
