Switzerland becomes Ghana’s top export partner with $3bn in Trade in 2023

Ghana’s exports to Switzerland reached $3 billion in 2023, making Switzerland Ghana's top export partner.

This marks a significant increase from $1.5 billion in 2019.

During Switzerland's 733rd anniversary celebration, Ambassador Simone Giger highlighted Ghana as Switzerland’s second-largest trading partner in Sub-Saharan Africa, after South Africa.

The event emphasized the strong economic ties between the two countries.

Under a new partnership plan for 2025-2028, Switzerland aims to work with Ghana on skills development, renewable energy, and inclusive growth.
